8mm APS FE + 1.4TC + K1

Tested the Bower 8mm crop sensor fisheye on the K1 with a 1.4 TC and found the results to be very usable for an artistic UWA combination.
Set FL in camera to 12mm. Shot in DNG so color sample is from original with no crop. You can see the vignetting at corners and thin line around edges that miss full coverage.
B&W is cropped version to show how little was taken off to make image usable. Plan to experiment more.

Cool result! Can't say I've seen anyone use a TC this way before- thanks for sharing!

The TC + a APS-C lens with alot of vignetting gives pretty good results. Takes away almost all vignetting on my 10-17 and alot but not all on the 16-50. No degradation of IQ as I can see.

Also using the TC with a macro lens gives you a little more enlargement.

The 8mm Rokinon HD (the one with the removable hood), with the hood removed, with my kenko 1.5x tc worked pretty well on a film camera... can't imagine it'd be much different on the K1.

Thanks Folks, nice to hear others have had good results. Will keep me experimenting. Still have enough FF lenses from my K1000 and ME days but lacked on the UWA side. Do have my Sigma 18-50 macro kit lens from the k10 I'll have to play with next (and the Tammy SP90.)
