Is Sigma 85 f/1.4 EX DG OK on K-1

Hello All,
Anyone have any first hand experience that this lens is fully compatible with the K-1?

Cheers,
Terry

It works fine, but without the (free) service from Sigma its mount flange causes a minor scratch to the camera body.

Thanks for that confirmation.
If the interference twixt lens and body is the same as I have here with my Sigma 24-70 on my K-1 body, then it is not an issue for me...I can barely see any mark from the 24-70.

Cheers,
Terry

On my K-1 with the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 I didn't even get the small scratch. I really love it as well and takes outstanding portraits. My other favorite lens on the K-1 is my Pentax 55mm f/1.4. Needless to say I love every lens on the K-1. I have all the primes, 31mm, 43, 77, 100mm & the 200mm. I just got a Super Tak 50mm f/4 and I'm blown away.

Just ordered a K-1 to go with my Sigma 85mm f1.4 HSM and FA43, can't wait to try the Sigma on it, although thinking of swapping it out for a FA77 or DA70, depending on how I get on with the weight.
I love the Sigma 85mm but I don't tend to take it out and about due to the weight, although for an upcoming wedding, it should be a dream combo!

I now can My copy has made the slightlest of makrs as advertised on the body, not an issue for me personally. Sigma UK have offered to take it and change the mount FOC, I'll get round to that in a week or so.

in the shop (store - for you american chaps) it seemed great. mostly been trying it on my k3 last night though. i'll leave this tab open and test more on my k1 tomorrow as i should have a free-ish day. front focussed a lot on my k3 but now from my (limited) tests seems a lot sharper than my FA*85.

not to say anything against the FA*85 mind you, before anyone chimes in. shots of one model a week ago or so outside were almost all taken with the FA*85 on the K1 at f1.4 and they're fantastic. it just didn't quite behave quite so well all day.

No problem for me, fast, silent and accurate. Only used in portrait/slow moving stuff though so I can't comment on any bike tracking accuracy.....

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I'm torn b/w this 85 Sigma and Pentax's 70-200.
How was your experience with the 85mm in the long run and would you advice getting that over the 70-200 (just in case you have used both).
I need it for weddings and other outdoor work.

Thanks.
