Kirk plate for K-1

Finally Kirk has a quick release plate for K-1. https://www.kirkphoto.com/Camera_plate_for_Pentax_K1.html
But the Fedex shipping costs to Europe are enormous.

Is there a chance to order this QR plate anywhere in EU?

Arca compatible QR plates aren't difficult to find. This Kirk looks like a good one. What's less obvious is regarding L brackets.

This "kirk plate" seems to have protrusions designed to fit to the K-1's body to ensure correct alignment of the plate and to hinder it from rotating.

TIL: People still buy quick-release plates that aren't L-plates.

Exactly. That's why I like it.

Well, so far it does not look like they'd have K-1 QR plate on stock. Hopefully later?

Sure they do. Why not? I only attach my L-bracket when I need it. Universal Camera L Bracket

Difficult to say. I'd suppose that the answer is NO, because you need special design (thanks to K-1 screen).

Do you know of any univeral L-brackets that would roughly fit the K-1 with grip?

Thanks.

Nope, as I don't use the grip. Sorry.

I ordered this L plate from australia. Postage was a bit expensive but it arrived in just a few days and the plate itself is beautifully made, fits perfectly. Well worth it.

So how's the experience of all the Kirk l-bracket owners?

And what's the advantage compared to the RRS plate?

I guess the Kirk plate is wider than the RRS and weights 0.3 ounces more for only beeing $5 cheaper than the RRS.
