May I add point 5. Try out Rawtherapee as soon as their pixel shift support is finalized.
It’s free and it seems to me as the PS support will be head and shoulders above everything else.
Thanks for the tip!

Seems like I am behind on the info and the Rawtherapee progress on pixel shift processing is almost done.
I've downloaded the trial build, but need to get around on how to install it (and get it working)

I don't know what you have downloaded, but the trial versions I've used are complete with installer. Start it and it installs, a few seconds later and you are ready to play.

You are right, I installed it (with installer), but I don't seem to see the pixel shift option, though I've not looked for it long enough or looked at the forum info yet.

Click the "RAW" tab to get to the demosaicing options. Then select the pixelshift option in the "Method:" dropdown menu.
Then play with the show motion options and everything else available there.

I think I might have got the wrong one (v4.2.1477)
There is no option for pixelshift on mine.

Thanks again..

BTW, would you have the link?

There are some different versions here:

Did some pixelshifting today. Developed in Adobe Camera RAW 9.8. Clear difference between non ps and ps. (Click right for the non pixel shift version.) Well, the difference is quite difficult to see when not having full size, 36 MP, to compare...

I'm not seeing the non-ps version. Right clicking on the picture does what all right clicking does on internet images.

Clicking on the image should send you to my Flickr page... And when there, clicking the right arrow will send you to the non ps image.

The best way to notice any differences is to crop at 100%.

Indeed. I did not know that Flickr did not show the full res image. Only I when logged in can see all 36 MP.

I got mine from this link too, but did not know better so downloaded the newer builds thinking "newer is better"

It does seem that the one you are using is the one with the 'pixelshift' option.

Thank you so much for the help.
Can't wait to try it out.
