2) set a very long shutter time (e.g., 5 seconds)
3) hit the shutter button
4) wait a tiny amount of time for the shutter to open for the next frame
5) trigger the flash manually
6) when an intermediate frame (#1 through 3) show on the LCD back panel go to step 4
7) DONE!
Notes:
A) ambient lighting needs to be low enough so that it doesn't overpower the scene during the long shutter time.
B) shutter time needs to be long enough (or flash power low enough) to have the flash fully recharged for each frame.
C) If you have trouble with the first frame having a different brightness than frames 2, 3, & 4, try triggering the flash about one shutter time BEFORE starting the series
D) avoid moving or touching the flash which would shift the shadows and cause artifacts.
