Thanks. I was quite surprised how it came out. I have tried long exposures with PS with many subjects, some work, some not so well. Just be sure to use maximum exposure time of 30 seconds which helps to smooth out most of the artifacts. And there is always BW conversion possibility if color version looks too harsh.

Autumn is Coming (with DFA 100 macro)

This one is a pixel shift and the original on Flickr is pretty impressive with regard to its detail

Here is the one and only pixel shift image that I have ever taken with my K1. It is a shot from Yellowstone overlooking the Norris Geyser Basin. It was taken with the D FA 28-105mm lens. I also have almost the same shot taken without PS applied. The easiest place to see the difference is along the ridge on the horizon. The individual burnt trees definitely have more detail. jPeg size of this image was 14.4 megabytes before loading here. Raw image size is 191 megabytes. jpeg of non PS image is 10.7 megabytes,

I haven't used it much outdoors as it's been quite windy, but I took a few still-life type shots, and the detail is truly astonishing - here with the K-1 + 70-200 f/2.8

A DA 40mm shot. I shot this with pixel shift and should really go back and the combines are blurred/artifacty as a result, but I found the rest of the image pretty sharp and pleasing otherwise...

Path Beside the Wabash (DFA 15-30).

These are both pixel-shifted. I don't know how much detail it adds to black and white photos, but it does feel like it adds some.

Love the K-1/Bower 14mm/PS combination. Definitely as sharp as I need it.
