I don't think anything much will happen on the processing front as Pentax does not have the market share to drive developers to do anything for it.
As such, I am contemplating SilkyPix Developer Pro.
Reasons why I have not done so to date :
1. For the past year, I have been uncertain how much Pixel Shift I would do. (So my venturing into doing more pixel shift for 2017 will be part of that exploration process)
2. I already have LR and its very good for what I need in terms of lens corrections, exposure correction and brush corrections, SilkyPix only offers a gradient tool and radial tool for localized adjustments.
3. Learning a new RAW processor
4. Cost of SilkyPix (waiting for the special offer for those who have an older version of the software; which happens often enough)
I am dismayed that many (esp review sites and usually those newer to Pentax who picked up a K1) have largely given up Pixel Shift as an option.
Usual sited reasons being movement artifacts
