Ah, thanks. I don’t have a Flickr account, maybe need to start one. I link to JPGs uploaded to my own website. It’s odd because pictures have shown up previously when I did that.

Good choice of pixel shift application. Note from exif: you closed the aperture to f16, if the camera was a eye level, you could have opened up to f6.0 for 30mm, or f8 to be on the safe side, give more overall detail.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely less narrow apertures with the lens. According MTF line, the sharpest aperture at 15mm is f5 and the sharpest aperture at 30mm is f6.3. Now I never follow MTF line because I'm trying to get everything in focus and that requires stopping down. With a lens like the DFA 28-105, I'll shoot almost exclusively at f11. With the wider DFA 15-30, I may be able to get away with f8 or even faster. I'll have to experiment and see what works for what I'm trying to do. And while it is true that you lose detail as you stop the lens down from its MTF sweet spot, I've found that in practice you don't actually lose that much provided you don't go much past f16.

I haven't done PS that much (like 3 times)... but... insane resolution and sharpness! This image alone was 182 MB. In comparison, the Panasonic S1R will do above 185 MB and its sensor is 11MP larger. Motion Control was switched on for this 2 sec exposure with a bit of breeze at the scene. All handled well in RawTherapee+Adobe's lens profile correction for the superb dfa 28-105 and then back to LR CC as a tiff for post. No cropping and f11 at 28mm. It's a boring shot but I'm always practicing

The size of the image is related to how much detail is in it. I have pixel shift images that go from 150 MB to 213 MB. Here's a 210 MB Redwood NP image shot with the DFA 28-105:
