Any ideas?

I thought I'd try my Metz 58 AF-2 on the K-1 to see if it works okay but was surprised to find the metal mounting plate is too wide to fit on the K-1. Have they made the flash mount smaller on the K-1 or has something else happened. Or can the flash mount be altered to fit the K-1? Any help would be appreciated.

Found with a bit of jiggling the Metz went on because it is a very tight fit which I suppose it needs to be.

The flash mount has not changed. Both my Nikon SB-26 and my Metz 48 work fine. Are you sure it will not fit?

Yes I corrected my post when I found with a bit of jiggling the Metz went on but it was a tight fit which I suppose is good. It works well in PTTL mode so that's a bonus. I rarely use a Flash but it's good to know it will work when and if I need it. Thanks for your reply.

Make sure the locking pin is fully retracted. I've struggled mounting a flash and then embarrassingly discovered the locking wheel wasn't quite fully turned to the release position leaving a tiny bit of the pin protruding.

Yes I checked that when I thought it wasn't fitting but that was okay, was just a very tight fit.

No problems with the 52 AF-1.
