It's On The Way!

This morning I have ordered a K-1 and a D-FA 28-105mm to go with it from the lovely people at SRS Microsystems here in the UK. They should arrive at some point tomorrow, and in the meantime I have to fill the interminable wait with deciding what to photograph first!

It's not just sleep tonight I need to worry about, but getting through work tomorrow - especially after the inevitable email from my wife saying "Something has arrived for you..."

From here, you don't look so well Mike. Cheeks flushed, eyes a bit watery, and that cough is just awful. To be on the safe side, I think you need to take the day off tomorrow.

Don't think it hasn't crossed my mind! Unfortunately my boss is aware of what I've bought and would probably be able to put two and two together

I was once a boss and occasionally we can add it up. I once had a guy who was sick on five Wednesdays spread out over three months. So I mentioned it to him and he said, that he though he was spreading the sick days out over different days of the week. In any event I told him that he had reach the limit of the companies patience for that year.

The K1 and 28-105 is a pretty good lens. I didn't hide my purchase from my wife either. I was on a trip and merely 1970 miles from home when I got it. I have found that wives, unlike bosses can always put two and two together. Sometimes even if we aren't doing anything wrong.

Funny you should mention wives... I had to get purchasing approval from mine before committing to my new toy this morning

Funny thing this morning. I had a dream about waking up (inception?) and in my hand was a new K1. Then it blurred and it was my K3. Shucks.

Ohhhh, no. Not the K-1. What were you thinking?

Now you won't have any time to do stuff. The K-1 glues itself to you like a parasite and it will not come off. That's why it is WR, so that you can shower in the morning.

Have fun!
