Great shots.

If the K-1 can do horse-racing, it's going to do well. There's big money there.

The photographer performed well, too. Nice images.

what was the keeper / trash ratio in respect of the focus was good or bad?
i mean, 7 images out of 70 (0.1) is a bad ratio, 7 images out of 7 (1.0) is optimum.

thanks,

tx

Any one of these is an image I would be proud of and enjoy viewing over and over again. When operated skillfully and properly the equipment clearly captured wonderful images. Do ratios really matter once you have that image you wanted?

Great photos! I was nervous about buying then lens. I was afraid of loosing sharpness with the zoom but it seems to be just fine in detail.
Thank you for posting.

You are not "loosing sharpness". It is really, really good on the long end and wide open. There are enough primes which are less sharp wide open.

But be careful on focussing correctly, shake effects and also air movements. They all have a lot of impact.

Lovely images! Are these post-processed or straight out of the camera?

Thanks.

They have been strongly processed for the colors (greens desaturated and shifted to blueish) and strong vignette added.

I do not understand the question.
These shots are handheld as in "no tripod used". The whole fun only lasts 4-6 seconds per race and during that time you have to swing around with the lens quickly (standing right at the fence to the track).
