Sigma 17-35 f2.8-4 DG on K1

Hi, I am getting this Sigma for UWA solution on K1. It seems not listed by Sigma with issues on K1. Has someone mounted this lens on K1? Just want to make sure it is safe to mount.
Thanks

I use this lens on my K-1 and it works a treat

I presume you are referring to the small marks some Sigma lenses can put on the K-1 just above the mount. The mount doesn't appear to touch the body but it ever so close. My K-1 already had a tiny mark form the Sigma 24-70 I have so I can't verify it won't leave a minute scratch.

Cheers

k1?

Any example of 17mm on the K1 in FF mode? I'd love a AF super wide at 2.8 for my concert work.

OR do you use it in Crop mode?

I thought:
DG meant = ff ready
DC = Crop

Thanks!

Don't want to drift off topic or hijack the OPs post but if you don't mind a prime, you (and maybe the OP) might consider the Rokinon 14mm.

I can't speak to that specific lens (the Rokinon), but I got one of the last 14mm Vivitar Series 1 lenses (in a K mount) which is rumored to be the same, and it's great. It exhibits low color, fantastic resolution that matches the K-1's capability, and comes in at f2.8. Pretty flat illumination to the corners and it's WIDE. Crop mode makes it the equivalent of 21mm (but with reduced pixel count - better just to shoot FF and crop later). A sample photo and a x19 magnification of it are attached. Details exist to the pixel level.

Only downside is it's manual focus (auto exposure though). Depth of field is so great though that you can leave it at infinity for a lot of shots.

Here's a night I tested that pair out. Pretty decent results though my copy was a bit soft in the corners.

Do you have any examples of 17mm at 2.8? I don't seem to see any at 2.8.

All this in FF Crop mode right?

Thanks for these examples!!!

I have the older EX aspherical -version. It's okay, not good but perfectly usable stopped down to f/5.6-8. Sweet spot seems to be around 20-24mm.
