I'm familiar with the system and calibration. I used AstroTracker often on my K3. The camera either calibrates or it doesn't, it isn't a matter of repetitive attempts and my K1 fails in that respect. I also have the iOptron tracker and it works well.

And you're doing this outside in the open, away from metal objects?

I've done it outside, in the open, in the middle of a field in the state park that I live close to and it doesn't ever work. I've gotten the O-GPS1 unit to work on my K3 though, and before that on the K5.

Does the GPS work, do you get a position?
Does the electronic compass work? Display it on the LCD and turn slowly, the heading should follow smoothly without sudden jumps in the heading.

I have now tested and have no problem. It is exactly the same as with the O-GPS1 unit. Always keep on going with the turns, up, down, side, side, twist, twist, up, down and so on. It rarely locks after the first round for some reason but most of the time after starting the second round. It will lock when there is no satelite coveridge, i.e inside your house but only do this for testing. You will have to calibrate for the exact place where you will use the tracer so do it if only moving a short distance from previous calibration.
