So when do we use the new found feature ES?

I found this page for the D810. D810 TIPS | Technical Solutions | Nikon Professional Services

Is it the same for the K-1?

Well, the ES only works in LV on the K-1 and not in LV on the D810 so there you have a difference but the rest, is that what we are looking for in use?

In the pdf for the FW1.30 it says that ES works with MUP but I can not get it to work with MUP...

I think the primary use case is on a tripod, when a "slow-ish" shutter speed would otherwise cause vibration-induced blur (i.e. 1/60s to 1/180s or so).

I would use it any time I was on a tripod, using live view and if the shutter speeds are not too high.

And when there is no high speed movements in the scene.

Especially useful during macro, I would guess.

Me neither. However normal remote and live view works, so it kind of works, sort of.
But it would have been nice to have it in normal MUP as well. It would save a lot of power not being forced to have live view active between every shot.
