Hah hah, don't worry. I didn't know that either until I let my friend play around with my gear. I noticed that it was autofocusing when she started messing around with it. I asked her how she got it to autofocus, and she had no idea. My other friend, a Nikonian, had to point out the clutch to us.

I think I got a perfectly working lens from Ebay with "AF doesn't work" because of this once.
