I'm not an outspoken fan of this lens as much as @pepperberryfarm is, but recently I found that the Porst/Cosina MC f/1.2 55mm in PK mount is quite better than I believed. It has its pluses (and of course its minuses) vs. the Pentax 1.2/50mm and Revuenon/Tomioka 1.2/55mm.
I found that being funkier wide open than the others, it needs plenty of accuracy in nailing the right focus.
I fitted the O-ME53 to my K-1, and I'm leaving it on even when I'm not using fast manual lenses. Unfortunately it's not enough.
Enlarged LiveView is a must with this lens, cause the rendering wide open makes manual focus through the viewfinder very tricky.
I had glued a bit of aluminum foil to the bayonet to allow for green button functionality (if it doesn't shorten the proper pin the camera thinks there is a T-mount with no lever to close immediately before it takes the picture). The foil came off after a while, so I bought adhesive copper tape on eBay, cut a small square, and taped it at the right place.
With this simple trick the lens can work stopped down, which means that it can come handy in all those situation when shooting wide open is better avoided.
On the second night of Loi Krathong festival I took out the lens to shoot some night pictures.
Unfortunately there is no intermediate click between f/1.2 and f/2, so I decided to shoot at f/2.
It is more than one stop difference, so the rendering of the optic gets far less extreme.
If you nail the focus, like in the following image, the sharpness is quite good and there still is plenty of "character".

Porst Color Reflex MC f/1.2 55mm @f/2

Just got my K1 last month. I have the standard assortment of old glass that most have. M28 2.8, M100 2.8, A135 2.8. m200 f4, etc. My only autofocus full frame lenses are the DA 35, fa50 f2 & Sigma DL70-300. My only weathersealed lens is the APSC 18-135, which is fine for just walking around.
What a great camera! such a joy to use and a great upgrade from my K-30. Here are a few pix with my Auto Sears (Tokina) 300mm 5.6 lens. The distance was about 18ft for both pics. I used lightroom, and this lens will always have that funky green mud bokeh in the shadows, but the center in nice and clean. Not bad for a $25, mint condition 300mm prime.

Do not fall asleep anywhere hear that thing. Kill it with fire and then check to see how the neighbors are acting.

Everyone here safe. As far as YOU know.

Dog is also safe and healthy. But from the dog or not, something I would not want to step in. Actually I looked it up and turns out it is a fairly common fungus. Don't remember the Latin name but in some areas is called "Slippery Jack." Most photos show it past it's slimy stage though.

Some classic 50s

Yesterday I played around comparing a whole bunch of 50-ish lenses. Here's a few for your enjoyment:

Primoplan 58mm f1.9 (original 1950s version) stopped down very slightly to f2.0

Volna 50mm f1.8 wide open

Helios 44-7 wide open at f2

You can find the entire set here. Lens tests 50mm bokeh | Flickr

Used a K1 with a SMC M200 f4 & the Pentax rear converter-A 2X-S. Iso800, 30sec exposure & F10. This was just before dawn and the first snow of the season at Mt. San Jacinto.
