Hello,

When i bought my K1 recently i made the decision to get older lenses to get me started. Considering the prices of modern lenses (depending on manufacturer) i see it as a great way to branch out, explore creative possibilities and focal lengths on more of budget. Not to mention the charming qualities of older lenses, i have had great results with Zeiss folding cameras. My Yashica Lynx14 wide open at f1.4 is magical to my eye. An almost large format look with a slight swirling bokeh at the edges. Anyway! I am still learning and exploring the Pentax range I was pleased with what i got on my first outing using the 28mm M f3.5 -

$2000.00 Camera and a $20.00 Lens?

Any experienced photographer would never suggest using anything but the best "glass" you can afford.
I am a firm believer of this, that is, until I won the highest bid on this lens. I purchased it specifically for
my film cameras as a general purpose lens. Then, I got myself the new K-1 Mark II "Silver" and looked
to see how this lens performs on it. Well, it is still on the camera and only came off when shooting the giant
trees in Sequoia to use my FA 20-35! (The F 35-105 was only in production from 1988-1989)

I'm shooting all month with the A 100 ƒ4.0 Macro - its only a 1:2 reproduction, but it makes a razor sharp portrait lens

Low key image means stopped down... ƒ11 is painful

Couple of speedlight ( AF 540 FGZ in a speedbounce 40 camera left, and a bare AF 360 camera right elevated and behind subject, with a very large reflector Camera right as well) Cactus V6 trigger.
