thanks for the info. ill try it today. does that mean that the bigma is now the equivalent of 625???????? cant wait . ive been off line for a few months and just moved to daytona from nashville. soooo ill be on the freezing beach in a couple of hours.

I think the Bigma is 50-500mm, if so your fov becomes 75-750mm. Multiply the numbers times 1.5.

I shoot long, a Sigma 500 f4.5. Everyone who shoots long crops. Especially wildlife who has the temerity to move when you are taking a picture. Most of the time I shoot full frame. I've gotten shots of moving animals near the edge that I would miss with a cropped frame body, simply because I'm capturing a wider field of view.

But I can get close to the frame rate as the K3 by turning to crop mode. So if I see something where there is going to be a bunch of activity that I want to capture, I switch to crop mode. I have the third dial set to crop for this reason.
