Yep, except I had to use +7/+9 for most of my lenses.

It's not really a problem. Every body-lens combination is unique and it's normal to have to make some adjustment. I had to correct for front focusing with my lenses.

The camera's AF module waa misaligned by that value.

As long as it's +/10, it's within specs though, and correctable by you.

Most Nikon buyers are not so lucky.

I must be lucky my seems to be bang on out of the box!

Certainly wasn't the case for the K-x and K-5 I had.

Normal sample variation, Jono, since AFAIK the aligning is a manual task.

You can do a global adjustment for all lenses. Then you don't have to do it for every single lens, just the ones that are not +3.

Are these additive? On older models I do not think they were, you had to select one or the other. At least that is what I remember. Is this a change on K-1?

Had to go -7 to -8 on my K-1 as an average. The K-5 needed like +4 to +5 for most lenses. I just laid out a measuring tape on the table and shot wide open from a 45 degree angle.

No, you do one or the other.

Shoot something with details (text, parallel lines) from a diagonal perspective. Lock the camera down on a tripod, focus with the center point, and check in playback to see how forward or backward the actual focus position in from the center.
