I am certain there are some articles in this forum that would be very useful to a Canon user making the switch to the K-1. While the underlying functionality -- i.e., taking great pictures -- is the same, the interface is very different. I would rate myself as proficient-advanced as a Canon (6D, 70D) user, so I am not a beginner. Can someone suggest some resources -- either inside or outside of the forum -- that would help me get up and running more quickly?

Check under Articles in the header. Also Tony Northrup did a very extensive video guide on YouTube. He is primarily a Canon shooter so you may share some common issues. Good luck

This is the link to the actual "ebooks4cameras" site where the ebook for the K-1 is offered. I actually find that the manual information (as has been mentioned) and use of the camera sometimes involving trial and error to be the most informative learning experience.

As was mentioned earlier, Tony Northrup has some video tutorials available. The following is a link to a K-1 related tutorial which he created. I still would say for possibly more technical/in-depth information per the camera use that the manual and actual use are the best reference, but the tutorial may be of an aid in familiarization to some operations/techniques.
