Looking after K-1

When I bought my K-5, I was also bought the K-7/K-5 neoprene case which Pentax marketed, still use it, really like it.

Although I could protect the K-5 with 18-135 lens, it's just too small for the K-1 and D-FA 28-105mm.

I'm hoping that Pentax will produce one for the K-1. If it was big enough to hold the D-FA 28-105, it would also cover the D-FA 100 macro, 31, 43 & 77 FA limited's, FA 50 and FA 35 etc

Anyone else? Perhaps if sufficient people request it, this might happen.

The alternative third party options just don't appeal

camera case

Doe you have a pentax part # for that neoprene case, does it fit with a grip on?

I'm afraid I don't have a part # for that case, it was introduced with the K-7, continued for the K-5 but is no longer made.

Unfortunately it will not fit with a grip on, otherwise it would have been fine for the K-1.

When Ricoh announced the KP, it also announced two cases for the KP similar to the one you have. That suggests that since Ricoh hasn't announced similar cases for the K-1 by now, they aren't planning to do so. I'm just speculating.

I've seen skilled seamstresses do some amazing things. If you're really smitten with the case, maybe it take it to a tailor shop and see if they can expand it in the dimension you want. A vehicle/boat upholstery shop might also be an option.
