Has anyone purchased an L Bracket for their K-1? I'm currently looking into getting either Really Right Stuff L Bracket or a Kirk L Bracket. They both seem great and seem to have only minor differences. The RRS bracket seems to be a little slimmer, while the Kirk bracket is a bit bulkier. I have no experience with either brand and reviews for both are pretty good. Both are also about the same price. Since this is an investment I'd like to make only once, I'm really curious which you all would recommend. If there is something else I should be looking into, I'd be interested in hearing about that too. Thanks!

I have the RRS L bracket and it is fine -- you wont ever need to replace it. You can't go wrong with either RRS or with Kirk -- they are both high quality manufacturers and both have good customer support.

+1 for RRS. I've bought one for every new camera I've purchased (K-5, K-3, K-1) and they're excellent.

If you want to save some money I found a universal L-bracket that fits quite well on the K-1. Here's a thread on that option:

+1 for RSS. However, the RSS L-bracket does not have the slot for the hand strap.

Have a look at Universal Two-Piece Design L-Bracket/L-Plate Arca-Swiss Type by ProMediaGear . Generic but fits most FF and larger APSC cameras. Have on K 1 now but used before on K 3 II. Rugged etc.

Tomorrow, I'm going to take my K-3 bracket w/grip to a local machine shop along with the K-1 to see what they can do as far as making a few. I don't know why everyone is afraid to make a grip option.
