All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!

Big brown truck stopped at my house today with my new K-1 and am in love already. My Tamron 70-200 is like a brand new lens now the screw drive is virtually silent now and so quick and snappy. Pictures are coming out awesome even though not much to take pics of it is just amazing out of all my Pentax cameras this is the first that wowed me straight out of box no getting used to.

The K1 render the Tamy 70-200 a good portrait and event lens even wide open. On the K3, we can see the drop of sharpness wide open, on the K1 full frame sensor, is a bit more forgiving on the overall image output.

Congratulations!
Sounds like my reaction when I got my K-1 10 months ago. I'm still thrilled with it and looking for any excuse to take it on an outing. A massive step up from my K-5 for sure.

Congrats!! this is a lovely camera.. and yes.. the Tamy 70-200 is a lovely lens match with the K1, one of my favorites along with the Sigma 85mm and the 31 limited.

Since 2012 when I started getting into photography seriously again I have purchased a K5, K5-IIs, K3 and a K1. The K1 is the first camera that has made me forget about film. Something about the images. They just have "it".

I can pile on

I'm shooting it side by side with my Z, and next to 5DmkIV's. Great camera. BTW, and a PSA: the Irix 15 is terrific for architectural and interior subjects. Very low and simple distortion.
