Detected hot pixels

Hello

My K-1 has only 5500 shots. And now I noticed 3 Hot Pixels (red ones) after taking night photos and not in high ISO, in fact even at 100 ISO and 5s @ f11. Should I be worried about this or not? They are dead pixels? Are they temporary or are dead in fact?

Thanks in advance

Antonio

Ps: I saw this kind of pixels in my old Canos 450D.

They are dead pixels in fact. But don’t worry that can and does happen with all image sensors. Just remember that even when there are three dead pixels there are still 36 152 317 working pixels left. Just go to the menu and let your camera detect and thereby deactivate the dead pixels if you haven’t already done so and everything will be fine.

Thanks for the clarification @dcshooter I just thought about my post and wanted to add that they also might be temporary hot pixels but you were quicker to respond. Never heard of stuck pixels before. Learned something new here.

Detected hot Pixels

Hello

Thanks to you all

In fact today morning I ran pixel mapping, just in case.

I only want to understand if in a so young sensor like this one (+/- 5000 shots) is normal as it supports so high ISO values...
Regards
Antonio
