Fw 1.43

Latest PENTAX K-1 Firmware Update : Software Downloads | RICOH IMAGING

Corrected – Unstable performance may rarely occur in Movie mode or Live View status of still picture in firmware version 1.42.

totally boring update. I'll skip it unless I encounter the problem.

You just know there will be some weaving bicycle AFC tests being performed, hidden in some quiet neighborhood back street, just to be sure.
And someone will no doubt think they perceive an improvement too.
If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we?

Who knows if they added a squirrel catch in focus via the exposure sensor.

There will be another update for the lens correction of the DFA50, unless 1.43 actually includes that change under the cover of "bug" fixes.

Yeah sr in video mode! Even though I don't do video Also a 4:3 crop mode (even though I won't use it)
What I would really like is a way to activate the back lcd status screen with a single button press or the function dial. It really is a pain to have to select it every time coming from screen off mode.

Bravo to Ricoh for this update. I think I may have experienced the unstable performance during a recent photo shoot. I chalked it up to an anomaly but maybe not. Hopefully this solves it. I'm pleased Ricoh is proactive in identifying, resolving, and refining the software in the K-1.

What was the issue? Curious, I'm mostly shooting LV on tripod with ES enabled, so theoretically this might affect me

It seemed like a slight mirror flop, but that was after about a thousand pics in about an hour and half photo shoot, so it may have been related to heat/battery. Not sure.
