Does 1:1 crop mode RAW file contains 3:2 picture information?

I would like to ask 1 question.
As you know, Pentax K-1 has a 1:1 crop mode. The pixelcount is about 24 Mpix, but the size of the file is the same as 36 Mpix images - about 46-47 MB. Why is that? Perhaps the 1:1 croped RAW images has all the information about the cuted edges and they can be seen somehow during postprocessing?

Thank you.
