K-1 Discontinued?

Just saw the announcement in the main forum area regarding the last production of the K-1.............................

Of course the K-1 ii! Bet we'll see it at CP+. Until then, K-1 stock should be plentiful.

Sorry - my bad - I almost destroyed the Universe!!!!!!

The Wrinkle in Time is now repaired - do I get a K-1II for that fix to the continuum (or at least a K-1 for every time someone went through the loop)?

Now I have to decide to stock up on K-1s or wait until CP3O lands

If a K-1 II comes out, there will probably be better deals on used K-1s coming out. There really have not been many used K-1s on the market and those were not particularly low in price, but a second generation full frame from Pentax would probably ease those down a little bit. (not good if I decide to sell mine, but I'm not really planning to do so at this point)...

This whole set of interlocking threads and web sites is a textbook example of how unverified ideas spread on the internet. There may in fact be a K-1 Mark II coming soon but there is no respectable evidence offered in these threads. Most of the posts just quote one or two original vague, unconvincing rumor sites or other postings. I am not at all sure that that Czech site says what people claim it says. If a K-1-2 is announced tomorrow it will not justify the reliance too many people are placing on these very thin rumors. Kenspo says something is going on. That is probably reliable coming from Kenspo but it tells us nothing about what is coming. Whipping up excitement about something that may never happen does harm.

I want to review this one but since no one dares to give me one I have to buy it myself :/ Freezer and noise tests incomming! Most interesting part will be the sensor :O

One of their most successful cameras to date. Find it hard to believe they are pulling it. I can see them making it l a replacement is decided upon but withoalll of the full frame lenses Pentax is releasing, I see this as rumor or fake news and nothing more until an official release is given. I would expect an newer revision of the 645z first.
