Older DC adapters for K5 and K7 will do fine too. Try Ebay

It's my understanding from past posts that all the AC adapters (at least from the K10D on) are interchangeable. For the bodies that don't have a jack there is an adapter that replaces the battery.

There are also 3rd party adapters.

There's even a name for the plug: Hirose MQ172-3SA-CV(50)

All the Pentax DSLRs with an AC port from the K10D on and the K-01 use the same connector and 8.3v input.

Make your own?

If you're handy with a soldering iron and can read schematics, you might want to check this out: DIY AC Adapter for The Pentax K10D and K20D | The Roaming Drone I use 2 of these daily to shoot hummingbirds, dawn to dusk, powered by 12v batteries for UPSs.

Since I don't use one very often, I have found this one seems to work fine. The only Negative review was that it didn't charge the battery in the camera which is not how Pentax works anyway. $11.91 on Amazon.

The question that arises now is: "Do you trust a no-name manufacturer sold by Amazon to create a product that surely won't damage your camera?"

Amazon's track record in selling counterfeit and in some cases really dangerous products would make me wary of such an offering.

I agree on this solution. I had a friend make two of these for me several years ago and they are still working perfectly when I do long exposure work.

Are you using this to power the K-1 with 12vdc?
