Pentax K-1 2

I love my K-1 and while I see and hear of so many folks switching to Sony, I am about to upgrade my K-1 to the K-1 2 for $550 and get another K-1 2. While my Pentax gear does not have comparable autofocus, flash is probably at least a generation behind, video is abysmal, specialty lenses are limited, does not have all the bells and whistles, I just love my Pentax K-1. It is ergonomically perfect, a pleasure in the hands, built like a tank, a menu system that makes sense, the colors and IQ that resonate with me and when I put the viewfinder to my eye, it's me and the subject - It's all about creating the image instead of focusing on a bunch of computer readouts all over the viewfinder. My K-1 may not be perfect, perhaps even far from it but it is the camera I love shooting with. My Gear - Pentax 24-70 f/2.8, Pentax 100 MM Macro f/2.8, Tamron 70-200 f/2.8, Pentax DA 55 mm f/1.4, Pentax 77mm f/1.8 - Am I crazy??

You're going to end up with two K-1 IIs? Jealous ... and look at that fine glass you own, too!

No, I don't think you're crazy at all.
I'll be upgrading by black K-1. My Silver Limited Edition will probably stay the way she was born.
And your lens collection is far from crazy - my full frame suite is a little out of control

You don't follow "the pack" to buy the latest and "greatest", instead you buy what you like, and makes sense to you.
That fits in the everyday definition of "crazy".

I shoot Pentax because I love being different and don't follow the crowd. lol Sure there are some limitations, but any photographer worth their salt can work around it instead of trying to find the easy way out. I find typically the ones that jump ship, end up not being happy because of some limitation of the brand they switch too, and jump ship again and again instead of learning and working around the quirks. I'm still debating upgrading my K-1 to the Mark II, but time will tell.
