How is your MK2 doing? I have noticed lower battery life compared to K-1 Mk1 when doing multiexposure composites. I often run a batch of 64x or 128x exposures and right now I am getting about 300-400 exposures less per full charge compared to mk1. This is with the battery that came with the camera body and also another D-LI90 battery which I have used since I got battery grip for KP (about 6 months). The latter has enough charge cycles so not a new battery issue.

Depending on the temps, running multiexposure series easily gets 2000 - 3000 shots per charge (mk1) and now this has dropped to about 1700-2500. Similar difference in traditional liveview composing where the new model cuts down available composing time somewhat.

That's in-line with the specifications. According to CIPA standards, the K-1 managed 760 shots on a fully charged battery, whereas the K-1II manages 670, which is about 12% less. Assuming you were getting 2000 multiple exposures with your original K-1, you'd expect to get 1,760 from the K-1II, give or take a little...

Battery life (CIPA) is down to 670 from 760, so this was to be expected.

Compared to my K-3 II, i'm actually getting really impressive battery life from my K-1 Mk ii. I charge the battery much less frequently now, despite using the camera more. I'm very happy with it.

I get about the same battery life from the K-3II and the K-1. Both of these were down from the K-5, I assume because of the GPS being always on, and the K-5 not having one.

Right... but, assuming his usage is consistent between the K-1 and K-1II, the percentage difference should be broadly applicable. And it turns out to be pretty much spot on...

That is interesting. What actually causes K3-II to drain the same D-LI90 that quickly? D-LI90 and KP goes for ages, when shooting multiexposures in a row it reaches almost 4000 shots @ +10C temp.

I wouldn't know, but the KP actually uses the D-Li109 battery.
