Originally posted by PentaPrime I don't have the K-1 yet but am planning to buy soon. The first and main walkaround prime I want is the Sigma 35 mm f/1.4 Art series lens. Now apparently this lens on the K-mount
is known to scratch the K-1 body, but
from what I can find the scratch looks minor, and reportedly the mount can be fixed by Sigma before first use. I haven't looked into it beyond that. I did try this lens on my Canon and it was fabulous, and since it comes in K-mount it is top of my list.
I have the K1 and the Sigma 35 mm Art. It's a good combination, though I don't use the 35 as much as I might. Perhaps that's because it's actually heavier than my standard zoom (28-105), so I only pack it for specific tasks.
A new Sigma 35 mm Art should not have the "scratch" issue. I had mine modified free of charge by Sigma to fix the problem. I think that's still available.
