Yes, smile big there because the *70-200 is expensive and a bit heavy; I have a wonderful lens kit, but I’ve never spent that much on one.
Apparently the 55-300 PLM is quite good, and I may have to try one. But I’m hesitant because of my experience with the original DA55-300. While it was very good, I eventually decided the F70-210/4-5.6 had better IQ. And since I often shot it at 300mm with relatively slow apertures, I reasoned to myself “why should I get merely good shots with this lens when I could have captured the same moment in a great shot with the F*300/4.5?”
Nevertheless, its AF design and performance is intriguing ...
