Originally posted by Smoke665 Yes, I'm using a wireless trigger in the hot shoe to trigger the studio strobes, and that's what it's doing. Now, is there a way around this??????? From what I've read several other brands allow you to turn this off
Other brands do allow this to be turned off, sometimes automatically, however not Pentax, you could pull the on-off lever to the DOF preview position for momentary brightening of the scene but that isn't always ideal. The K-3 had gain up LV so this wasn't an issue so much, the K-1 series is wysiwyg LV with the exclusion of using the flash. I have the same problem when shooting product photos in my light box
Something I just thought of now could be to setup 2 user modes, one used for actually shooting the scene and the other for seeing the scene with perhaps a vastly higher ISO and then switch between them.
There is a way to increase the screens brightness for daylight but it really doesn't look good in low light IMO.
