Naturally!
But only if my camera is upgraded after all!
I should know it in few days.

My camera returned yesterday updated!
(The "springness" of the slot one is fixed.)
I will close this case and continue reporting my feelings of the update in the feedback thread!

In the US cameras that had been sent in and backlogged due to lack of parts were returned to the owner. The owners were informed that they would be notified when parts were available and to send their cameras again at that time to be upgraded in order to keep to the estimated 5-10 service time frame. Prepaid shipping provided.

Seems like the problem is with how the regional service center is handling the backlog or even perhaps be an isolated incident and not "How long Pentax (sic) thinks it is ok to keep the camera gear in service, without doing a thing for it".
Precision Camera Updated by Pentax in 8 Days. I shipped it to them on a Monday - They Received it that Wednesday, 8 Days later on a Monday They shipped it back to me UPS 2 Day. Total time including shipping both directions was 16 days.

Boy, Ricoh really is conservative in their sales projections.

Yes! They totally misread the market for the Z, underestimated the demand for the K1, and now have once again misunderstood the demand for the upgrade. Meanwhile they also underestimated demand for the new 50. Very interesting....

Ouch...

Keep the faith...

Precision clocked my K-1 into their facility on July 18, into the repair on 24 July, then out of repair on 27 July, seven working days, later. It was returned as a K-1 MkII update back to me on 30 July. They even called on 30 July to alert me it was due for delivery that day... nice touch!

Works great!

Cheers... M
It really appears from Michaelina2's experience and that of others, including me, that Precision has really upped its game this rear.

Just sent mine in

I just got back from the UPS store where I left my K1 for shipment to Precision, they should get it on Thursday. I'm already starting to suffer from full frame withdrawal. guess my K20D will have to fill the gap again
