The Ugly(Cute) Truth about AF-C Finished Gallery

Yeah not every in focus image makes it to a gallery, that could get very boring very quickly, however here is a selection of 25 finished photos, all but one was perfectly focused.

You can really see the glee in my dogs face, we don't get to the dog park a lot so its a real treat for him.

Bandit Runs At The Dog Park

Pick a favourite if you wish and post it in your response

Do enjoy!

Actually, have other things to attend to right now, but couldn't resist taking a peek anyway.

That's a beautiful series you posted there, Mike - and to me it also suggests that, in capable hands, more recent Pentax AF-C seems to be much better than some of the propaganda spread against it. The enthusiasm of your dog is sure tangible.

Looks like both of you had fun in the park ... can't pick a favourite really but can't argue with sergysergy either.

I think its always been better than the propaganda, The problem is negative reviews tend to come across as "can't do anything" when its really "doesn't do it as good as the others". For capable hands, all it takes is for someone to give it a try instead of thinking it can't be done.

Its like a theme park for the dog and a great fun opportunity for the photographer.

In my defense, If he gets there too often then its not as exciting every time.

F/8 makes the job of focusing easier, but there is nothing wrong with that. Anyone who uses f/2 with a moving target is a masochist.

I used F8.0 initially with the F 70-210mm F4-5.6, it had more DOF than I wanted, I shoot hockey at F2.0, does that count?

He only looks full clean right after he's been washed

Actually no we don't, our previous 2 dogs were Pekingeses, and other than brushing and getting tons of hair out they didn't require much effort, this one you could brush him all day and barely get any hair out, more so this summer, very little a few months back. The Pekingese was 1 brush stroke and then empty the brush, this one at worst is empty the brush twice over a full brushing.

Every Photo in that gallery is a winner. Pictures like these inspire me to keep practicing, (and remind me how many "not quites" it takes to get a keeper.) Bandit is adorable. What sort of dog is he?
