My comfort temperature is about +5C and anything above that is a nuisance as it limits physical performance of human body too much during high pace activity. I have noticed most hi-res cameras start to fail after +20C too. +30C being IQ limiting border.

*Kofa - Kofa (King of Arizona mine) National Wildlife Refuge, has supposedly been measured to be the second darkest location in the continental US.

Quite a hike from my location, but I used to spend weekends there with my telescope. Lots of scorpions when I visited.

I been planning on taking the Palm Canyon road in. There are some volcanic cones pretty near the road that I think are hike-able to provide some elevation. Probably about 1/2 mile of hiking round trip. This year the weather, and just life has gotten in the way of getting out there.

I did did both the calibrations at home but not at the site.
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe one should do the calibration at the site, not at a different location.

That's probably true and I have done so on subsequent shots.

Okey dokey, as soon as the smoke clears and the clouds go away.
