Three shots - all taken with the K1 and the attached 70 mm.

No. 4:K1 with the attached 70 mm
That was exciting! My Helicoid extension tube was for M42, but variable. So I used it at its longeset. I'll try it again on tuesday.

You folks have definitely sparked my experimentation curiosity.
I still have a helicoid and the results you're posting are amazing.
Might have to look for a few 110 lenses to play with.

Salut,

"Franken-lensing" for me is kind of like Frankenstein photo equipment combos ... things that are not supposed to go together, but someone puts them together to make them work ... I do a lot with slide projector lenses ( see The "Projector Lens" Club ... - PentaxForums.com ) and have even tried 8mm movie film lenses ... not a lot of success with the 8mm, but I have not really given up yet.

Here's an example for a slide projector lens inserted into a de-glassed Helios 44-2 body ... Cheers, J

Bonne nuit! OK, I guessed so, but to be sure I asked. I also like to do things like that. I've once took a Canon lens and put it in front of my K10-D, without any mounting. It had some fungus, but I got ready softened photos without photoshopping! I have used lenes reversed also without a reversering, just handheld against the camera body.

That is a really cool blur pattern! Lens baby like....but with a great sense of motion in the chicken shot. Lots of great uses for that effect.

Having just got this lens, along with 4 others and an auto 110, I know what I'm play with until I get some 110 film.
This looks like it will be fun to play with having an almost tilt lens like effect

Hi, you will have a lot of fun, but good photos too. It works best with the 70mm. :-)

I only have 2 sets of the M42 extension tubes so 28mm is the closest I can get but I don't know if that will get me to infinity or not. Maybe I need to get an M42 helicoid, it is an excuse for more gear and having some variability would be nice even when dorking around with macro stuff.

I did stick on a full set of tubes with it reverse mounted and played some.

I haven't tested it so much mounted reversed. But mounted the normal way, with my home made mount it works very fine. You get a very small macro lens with f2.8, but first you have to make your own mount!
