Wireless Image Transfer from K1 to Computer/iOS devices

Two questions:
1) I found how to get images wirelessly from my K1 to my iPhone 8 Plus using the Image Sych, but it's not obvious how to get the images to the camera roll or being able to post these images to Facebook. If I press on the image I see the FB logo, but nothing happens. Please advise.

2) What software do I need on a Windows 7 Pro laptop to capture and store the images from my K1 wirelessly to the laptop? I can easily connect to the K1 wireless LAN with the laptop.

You could use an android emulator, or run a community-developed program such as this:

A USB cord would be much faster, though, so I'd recommend that route instead.

Or a card reader which is also faster and won't drain your battery like a USB cord will do.

  1. You can't transfer the images vice versa
  2. after you download them onto your mobile phone, go into your facebook app and choose the images you want to post
  3. Choose you option here:

I've used the Wi-Fi commander software that was talked about here with my laptop running Windows 7 Pro and it works great. Speed is signal strength dependent but it will download existing files well and it also allows control over K-1 camera functions wirelessly.

If you like it, don't forget to leave a "tip" for the creator (I have no connection with that person but I believe in fairness for free software creators and believe it's the only way we will see improvements or newer versions of good applications).

Wifi Commander for Pentax is online (Windows app) -
