Hello to all users of this beautiful and useful forum, I introduce myself are albertoscaccia and I'm Italian, I live in Italy and have been retired for a few years. A few days ago I bought the DFA 15-30mm 2.8 (the monster) and I immediately tried on the k1, I am attaching a shot that I did in the hills of the province where I live, I hope to publish something better soon, for now all and I'll tell you soon!

Welcome! I think you'll find the monster a very fine friend. Soon after purchasing my K-1, I decided I needed a lens different from anything else I had, and this was it. I think from your photo you will love the perspective.

Welcome!

Enjoy the monster.

I am about 98.6% sure that my next purchase will be the Monster. Remember to keep feeding the monster.

Welcome!

I agree this is a beautiful and useful forum. I also like your choice of the DFA 15-30 f2.8 lens. I plan to make that my next lens acquisition as well. Looking forward to seeing some of the photos that you take with it.

Welcome to the forum!
I just bought the monster and took it along hiking yesterday for it's first "meal". I was very pleased, most of my shots happened to be in the 24 to 30mm range and I was impressed with the sharpness across the whole frame. I'm at work now, maybe I will post pics this evening.

The monster is wounded, after a few days of use I fell, in fact I fell with him, with the k1 and with the tripod. I was going to make ultrawide shots in the middle of nature but I stumbled on a branch in the creek of a stream and here we are to comment on the crime. That sign you see on the front lens indelibly brand all the shots as you can see in the picture I did my niece. There is no alternative, I have to send it to the repair, it is a blow to the pride of owning an extraordinary thing but I do not get down, life goes on, now for a while 'you will not see my photos on this thread but certainly some part I will post other photos made with other equally fantastic lens, hello to everyone

That is not good.

Sorry about that.

Weird that it is showing up. What aperture was the image with your niece taken with.

I have some evil scratches on my 28-105 and I only see problems when I am past f/13. And my damage seems worse than that. At f/13 I see some darkness in some spots. Nothing like your image which seems to be an actual representation of how the damage on the front element looks like.

Yikes! At least it happened in the line of duty instead of being knocked off a shelf while idle. Yes, take the monster into the veterinary. They will know what to do.
