I used to use PNY cards until one of them broke in half when inserting it in my card reader in the computer, after that, I went Sandisk Extreme Pros. They're cheaper now too. I have several Sandisk 32Gbs, and one 128Gb . But I also have one 64Gb Lexar cause it was on sale and cheap. So far no problems with the Lexar. And never a problem with any of the Sandisks.

SanDisk is a brand which always tries to sell the cheapest production quality in high quantities and offering lifetime warranty for some selected models can't change the fact that they don't use SLC or MLC NAND. So the TLC SanDisk uses TLC which offers ~100 cycles per bit, SLC-NAND does have 100.000 r/w cycles.

Industrial Grade Flash Memory or at least Panasonic Gold (which unfortunately is discontinued as SDHC, so only available as SDXC with 64GB) offers very high reliability.

Transcend also offers MLC memory cards.

Early this year I also had one off my SanDisk Extrema Pro cards act up for me, got a lot of grief from their CS! I purchased two Hoodman Steel cards and have not looked back!

Am I lucky? Been using medium priced name brand cards including Sandisk for many years. Never noticed a difference between brands and never had a failure. After a few years I throw them away and purchase new ones because they have improved specs.

I've had a counterfeit Sandisk fail, but none of my genuine Sandisk cards have to date. Very happy with their performance in camera and in computer.

I've used Sandisk Extreme Pro for years, never encountered any issues. Recently purchased the Samsung EVO Selects and have been about as pleased as one could/should be with a memory card.

I use Lexar Professional SD SDHC Memory Card Class 10 633x UHS-I - 16GB in my K1, K3 & KP. As I do not shoot video 16gb is enough for me, cheap enough to be replaced after a reasonable amount of use
