The K-1 goes to Everest Base Camp

Anyone else silly enough to trek their K-1 into EBC ?

Show us a photo or it didn't happen!!

The portrait taken with my wife's Q
There was a reasonable number of DSLRs taking the 8 day trek in but no FF that I could recognize.

Well, since you've started wtih the tallest, your next stop will have to be the 2nd tallest...
... so you can take a K-1 up K2 !

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your adventure.

Nice one.
A companion of mine was heading in with us with a K-5 but had to turn back at Pangboche due to altitude issues.

Acclimatization walk Dingboche.
Thought about taking my K-01 or my second Q but it was the dynamic range potential of the K-1 that I couldn't leave behind. And it was sorely strained! ISO was left at base at all times to maximise DR.
This shot was with my A28 2.8. If anything wider was needed I just stitched it.

Taken with an old Kodak Retina 118 camera that was made in 1935. He got it used and lengthened the film advance lever so it could be worked with heavy gloves on.
