At one kilogram, the K-1 is relatively heavy. With the optional battery pack, it is also large.

The size might be a disadvantage for those with small hands.

However, for anyone like me with large hands, the size is an advantage. It's comfortable.

At 1kg without the battery grip, but again I think that's an advantage.

That mass makes for a steadier camera.

I have added a left-side handle-grip that evens out the weight between one's hands …

It just feels right to me. The right size to hold.

Yes, it might weigh a ton, but when it feels right, it feels right.
