Backyard Critters

These images were taken sitting on my patio using my FA*400 on my K-1. Its very sharp even wide open. I've not seen any issues with CA despite what's been posted. VERY happy with my purchase from Forum member Snappy.

Looks great Buckeyemikie. Congratulations on buying an excellent lens. Number 2 reminds me of Rupert.
Thanks,

Those look great! Way better than what I could get with it I'm so glad it's working out for you.

I agree about the sharpness. Looking forward to seeing more!

Looking pretty nervous, and well he should, with my pit-fox bullhound, Peaches, gazing up at him from the base of the tree.

Black-capped Chickadee

My best shot yet of a Chickadee at its dedicated drinking fountain. I keep it filled just for them as no other backyard birds even try.

Shot with my new to me FA*400 that I call my "Things with wings" lens. My reflexes were quick enough to catch it motionless @1/400 F7.1. ISO 1250. Love shooting in TAV mode!

Eastern box turtle (actually a tortoise), catchin' some early-fall rays.

Great photo! I love box turtles. By the way, they are turtles not tortoises. Anatomy, not living on land, makes a tortoise a tortoise. Most of us can enjoy the creature, and your photo, without knowing the classification.

Lovebird chatting up a rabbit in the backyard. There are feral flocks of these parrots in Arizona.
