Here's another review of the K1mkII

Not sure if it's been published here in a thread, but anyway: Pentax K-1 Mark II Astrophotography Review – Lonely Speck

Has some fine examples, note that there are 28-105 examples and 15-30 ones. Some emphasis on astrotracer and PS functions.

Great review - his pros and cons are honest and fair.

For me I like the feel of the K-1 in my hands (heft and all) BUT when I'm travelling light its the K-01 that comes along.

I think it was posted previously. The big thing was that DP Review contacted him to tell him about the noise reduction on the K-1 II. I think he waffled around and finally decided that it wasn't a significant issue, unlike the Sony "star eater" issue that he mentioned in the body of the review. I have wondered quite a bit about the magenta shift he saw at iso 100 that wasn't visible at other iso settings. I haven't seen this, but then again, I am not typically shooting in that dark a setting and pushing four or five stops.

So do I understand correctly that DPR contacted this reviewer and attempted to influence his review? I find the ethics of this questionable. Aren't reviews supposed to be the independent findings and opinions of the reviewer? I stopped reading DPR sometime back and am now even less likely to do so.
