You misunderstand - Many of us have several say 50mm lenses of different make/model. My A 50 1.4 could be 50.1, My M50 1.17 could be 50.2 etc.
I use this method, with the Q to id adapted lenses. Very handy.
The K-1 needs at least all whole numbers.
Thanks,
barondla

Yes, I understand, and addressed this point. I think the bigger issue is, could a difference of 0.1mm really make any practical difference to the SR system? We're talking about a difference of about 4 thousandths of an inch. If you have a lens with an oddball focal length, you pick a number from the list in the camera that is the closest to what you have anyway (I chose 50mm for my 55mm lens). The SR system is great, but I'd be surprised if it could resolve 0.1mm in any meaningful way that a photographer would notice in an image.

His point was that by having a very fine adjustment parameter of the SR menu he would be able to identify his lenses after the photoshoot better. "ie My A 50 1.4 could be 50.1, My M50 1.17 could be 50.2 etc."....it would be in the exif

Nothing at all to do with the accuracy of the SR mechanism which could not care less if the FL was set at 45 or 55mm

Oh, right, hadn't thought of using it as a lens ID. Neat idea.
