I loved this post....I call my 5 Pentax bodies the "Full House" and I use them all in different settings. While I enjoy the K-1, I travel a lot and the APS-c (even a new 4/3rds Olympus) are easy to tote. My K-1 is great for landscapes and technical pics. The weight isn't horrible but it's not a compact body, nor are the FF lenses. However, the quality of the images and the crop factor is incredible.

I am glad that photography has provided endless amount of joy to your life.
Though i'm some what young and new at it, the last 10 years have been a blast. Heres to hoping the next 30ish years are equally fruitful

mhsp: as a curiosity, I owned both the K-1ii (which I sold) and then bought a K-1 because I liked the less "intrusive" filtering....but if you had to assess, which model do you prefer and/or are you satisfied that both models provide similar qualitative imaging.
I'm curious, because to my untrammeled sight, the K-1 produces images I like better. From a practical standpoint, I would appreciate your subjective opinion because you own the K-1 and the "II" simultaneously.

Thanks for your anticipated response....cheers.

Merv-O, I like both but for my HD Pentax-D FA* 50mm F1.4 SDM AW I like the K1 Markii a little better and here is a photo of that combo at work. Now I like the K1 and use it with my 15-30mm and I like it with the K1 and how it handles the sun. The first photo is the K1 with the 15-30mm and the second is the K1 Mark II with 50mm and I don't have to change lenses because I use my other K1-Mark ii with the 28-105mm..
