K1 and SDXC UHS-1 Memory Card Read Write Speeds

Can anyone explain whether getting faster SDXC UHS1 cards with 80, 90, 150, 300 MB/S really makes a difference? I have a variety of cards with differing speeds and I really don't sense a difference. Does the K1 and K3 have a stated maximum write speed or it is really up to the card's speed?

The write speeds were tested in our reviews and are around 25-30 Mb/s. So, as long as you have a card that can sustain such speeds (most mid to high-end UHS-I cards so), you'll be getting optimal performance.

I use the Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s and it works ok.
According to the link below, you should be fine using any UHS-1 card faster than 30MB/S.

The faster cards will be "faster" not on your K-1, but on your PC downloading pictures.

Thank you all for the clarification. While it seems getting faster cards will not help the K1 write speeds (maxed at 25-30 MB/s), the download speeds to the computer is know great to know. The new SDXC cards are so inexpensive these days and now I can justify (or not) paying for larger or faster cards to fit my specific needs.

Thanks ALL again!

While the speeds max out at 30Mb/s I would still get something just a wee bit higher. Granted it will not save faster, but just to be safe. My cards are 95 or 150 so complete overkill. But better be sure your cards can handle 30Mb/s than maxed at 30Mb/s.

I see a lot of advertised max speed claims.
The question to me is who has the maximum sustained write/read speeds?
