If all of the changes you describe are even possible given the platform features and limitations (and I seriously doubt that), would you pay... oh I don't know... say, USD $500 for it, to help offset Ricoh's development, testing, documentation and support costs, and leave a small profit? You know, just to make it worth Ricoh's while...
No? How about USD $300, then? No.... no, no... wait... what about just $200?
Or, are you expecting it at zero or insignificant cost to yourself, while Ricoh's developers have to be paid?
Before you say "Company X" offers free firmware feature and performance updates, Ricoh is
not "Company X". Folks who expect this kind of thing from a niche camera and lens manufacturer with small sales volumes might be better off buying "Company X" products instead...
