K-70 status screen display

Does anyone know if there's a way to set the K-70 so that the status screen display is turned off when the camera is first switched on?

It "just works" for me. K-70 remembers last setting. I set screen to "Display Off" (double press "INFO", select "Display Off") - camera remembers it and on next power-up display is blank.

Interesting. That's what I thought it should do, but mine displays the status screen if I switch off and then on again. What exposure mode are you using? I've tried setting it in U1 but still get the same result.

I found it - go to menu, fifth tab of first group, option "Memory". Then go to second tab, and check "Shooting Info Display". It controls this behavior
