Mattias does it again - K-70 thoughts on YouTube

As a K-70 owner, it makes me happy

Edited, sorry for mistyping Mattias, my thumbs are too big for the iPad “keyboard”.

His YouTube channel is one of two photography-related thing that I subscribe to there. I think he cares about the things that I generally care about and the other stuff gets ignored. I like that he's very happy to shoot with some decade-old digital camera and isn't going crazy trying to get the latest gear and he cares about color and rendering just as much, if not more, than exacting sharpness.

I appreciate Mattias Burling's short but content-rich videos. He brings a quiet, gentle approach that emphasizes the positive points of camera gear, while also presenting interesting videos on the process of photography. Just yesterday, I checked whether he had posted a new one.

No doubt, he likes Pentax and this video presents no exception. For the K-70, he says "black and whites are just jaw-dropping," and he's impressed by the FA 43mm Limited -- perhaps enough that he will get one for himself. As for the D FA* 70-200/2.8, "it's like REALLY MASSIVE" and "If I had to defend my home from an intruder, this would be my weapon of choice"

The K-70 will be four years-old in June or were you referring to an earlier video?

MB buys old stuff and uses it,so yes its not a reference to the k-70.

He is entertaining and definitely worth subscribing to.

By posting those fun-breathing videos, he must be boosting Pentax and Ricoh GR sales significantly. Have subscribed to his channel for years.

To me he appeared to be somewhat surprised by the quality of the K70 because it's an "entry level" camera. This is why I chose to go with Pentax (K50 first and now a K70) when I entered the DSLR market. Pentax's entry level camera is a mid level from all the other manufactures at an entry level price.

Steve
I was reference to other videos. He seems to really like the Epsonn R-D1, for instance. Or the Nikon Df, which isn't quite as old but isn't exactly a new product anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of his viewers are (already) Pentax owners.

Neither would I, but still 18.840 views so far, 108.000 subscribers. What’s not to like
